Misti Dawn  is an American "alt porn" model, pornographic actress, and exotic dancer. She uses her real first name of Misti Dawn as her stage name.

Misti Dawn was born in the small town of Henderson, Kentucky. She is of Dutch and Irish decent. She was raised Mormon and has since been formally excommunicated from the Mormon church due to her career choice in pornography. Her parents briefly sent her catholic school for a “better education” and she graduated from Henderson County High School in 2004. After taking two years off after high school Misti Dawn returned to school to work on her Bachelor’s degree in Biology.

She worked many various jobs before entering the porn industry such as animal shelters, restaurants, and even a bank. She says it was working for her family’s animal shelter that she realized she wanted to be a veterinarian. She also has been a vegetarian since 2001.

Misti Dawn started her modeling career at the age of 18 modeling for the alt porn site Suicide Girls. She gained popularity thru the site and was featured on several tattoo magazines and on the 2005 Suicide Girls / Skin Deep calender. Her first set for Suicide Girls went live while she was still in high school She began getting tattooed on her 18th birthday starting with her chest piece. All of her tattoos have been done by the same artist, Adam Potts in Louisville Kentucky.

After leaving Suicide Girls in 2006 Misti took some time off from modeling and focused on her education. In 2007 she began modeling for Burning Angel. Her photos from Burning Angel were published in to Burning Angel: The Book. Then was invited to guest sign in Manhattan, New York for the book release; and then sign autographs on behalf of Burning Angel at the Exxxotica NYC convention. In which she was then featured in Extreme Magazine. She has also featured at Erotica LA and began feature dancing with Joanna Angel. She began her exotic dancing career in Evansville, Indiana at Scores Sports Bar, who at first would not hire her due to being too heavily tattooed.
