Last week we had the pleasure of interviewing the incredibly kinky and always candid writer Daisy Danger. Being a fan of her work which can be found on Fleshbot, her own personal blog daisydanger.com and in her new book “The true life sex adventures of Daisy Danger”, I had many questions and, luckily for us, this silver tongued  writer was happy to answer them all.

Just a warning, some answers are NSFW since Daisy is very open about her sex life. So if you’re not into reading about other’s sexual explorations, this article may not be for you. But if you weren’t, you probably wouldn’t be here anyway.

Editor's Note: All links go to her NSFW stories, so save them for alone time.

Your stories you read on your podcast are quite graphic and intimate. Have you always had an ease talking about your sexual explorations with others?

I've always been fairly open about my sexual exploits. I love talking with people about sexual experiences; it's one of my favorite topics of conversation.  Hearing all the variations, the good, the bad, the ugly, it's all endlessly fascinating for me. Quite a few of the stories on my blog are ones I've told to friends for years, and they always encouraged me to write them down.

Being someone who has a very active sex life, how big of a role does porn play? Do you feel that it’s still a necessity or an outlet for fantasizing?

Porn is fairly important. My partner and I have some different kinks that the other isn't necessarily interested in, so it's a nice outlet for both of us to indulge in those kinks on our own. It's also a necessity both for fantasy and for our own sex life. We both like to bring in some new stuff to try. Showing each other porn clips is a good way to introduce new ideas and to get a feel for what the other person thinks about it.

What’s one toy every couple should have on their bed stand and why.

An anal speculum. That little device changed anal sex for me like nothing ever has before. I've always had trouble with butt plugs, so anal sex wasn't as frequent as I wanted.  We use it not only to loosen me up in preparation for anal sex, but as an act in itself. On my knees, Hitatchi wand, my ass slowly being pried open... guaranteed mind blowing orgasm every time.

Podcasting and blogging your stories seems like quite an intimate process. Do you feel it’s a part of the sexual rush or is it an afterthought.

The writing process and the sexual rush are usually completely separate. I've been a writer for most of my life, and that's a process in itself. A lot of the stories I tell, especially the heavy emotional pieces, took place years and years ago. When I write, I try to send myself back to that time frame and state of mind and it isn't always sexy. That being said, I have written a few pieces that took me awhile to finish because I'd have to take rather frequent masturbation breaks. That's when I know I've written a particularly hot one. The "Happy Birthday"  and  "As we dress for the club" stories are a prime examples.

Some of your stories have been published on Fleshbot’s True Sex Stories Series. Is there one story in particular you’ve read over and over again?

"There are three of us..." is the first sex story I wrote for the blog. When I finished writing that piece, I knew I was onto something. It's also the first piece that Fleshbot re-published. Reading it always takes me right back to that night.  It may not be a very long story or quite as descriptive as some of the others, but it's my very favorite for multiple reasons, I've read it over and over.

How did you start reading your stories as a podcast?

I accidentally started podcasting a few months ago. I was interested in doing a project with a photographer I admired. When I approached her, she said she was also interested, but said that she had a learning disability and it would take her months to get through reading my blog. She asked if I would consider making an audio version of my stories instead. I recorded a few and put them on iTunes, not imagining anyone would listen. Within a few weeks, iTunes named my podcast both "New & Noteworthy," and "What's Hot," quite a surprise and definitely an honor!
